Position Summary
RN Float is designated to float to units within specialty area(s) based on RN competency level. Completes appropriate competency and cross-training required to float to designated units. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support
to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Float may be assigned to units reflecting lower level patient acuity based on needs of the organization.

Educational
Bachelors Nursing Preferred

Experience
1 Nursing (RN) - Preferred
One year of relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in specialty area is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice Required
