Under minimal supervision, designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for complex concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests. Coaches others in less senior positions.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.Three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Special Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or relatedfield plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of qualifying work experience ininformation technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept aMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 1 yearof experience in the job offered or 1 year of qualifying work experience in information technologyor engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience. The positionrequires experience with: Software Development Engineering; Data Structure Techniques; Server webdevelopment and programming; Software Quality/Debug/Test/Validation; Object oriented design/development; and Relational Database Design. A related advanced degree may offset the relatedexperience requirements. Position allows for telecommuting from home within commuting distance ofColorado Springs, CO.
