Competitive annual salary starting at $70,000 - $90,000

Job Type

Full-time. 7:00am - 5:00pm Mon -Fri with some flexibility & occasional needs after 5pm, typically known in advance.

Position Summary:

The Client Relationship Manager aids Concepts in Millwork in developing, managing, and maintaining a strong backlog of business. Identifies new projects primarily with our existing customers, manages bid invitations, handles customer calls and/or requests, facilitates customer interviews, and continuously strives to positively contribute to the success of the Sales & Estimating department earning work. Represents one of the key forward-facing roles with customers.  


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Leads and manages our customer accounts including some of our top accounts.
  • Develops and maintains positive and productive business and customer relationships via phone and by visiting customer offices. Attends association committees and industry events with the long-term goal of taking on leadership role(s).
  • Identifies suitable project leads, helps screen incoming opportunities, and continues engagements through the sales cycle. Works closely with our team to close and earn business.
  • Works independently as well as coordinates sales efforts with team members and other departments. A high volume of communication is required with teammates and customers on a regular basis. Requires a high level of detail and a clear understanding of how to best earn work.
  • Uses data and learnings to report on customer needs, problems, upcoming projects, competitive activities, and potential for new business. Offers recommendations to address all activities with the best possible strategies and solutions.
  • Uses current CRM system (and other systems) to track customer information, project leads, and project results. Reports on and analyzes this history to assist in the strategy with our customers and project pursuits.
  • Develops product and industry knowledge by attending industry and company-sponsored training programs.
  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of our competition in the marketplace, industry trends, and where Concepts fits with our customers (history and current status). Uses market data to help earn business.
  • Facilitates internal and external debriefs after completed projects to mine learning and keep positive customer relationships.
  • Assists with creating and delivering presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and simultaneously manage multiple projects. Must be detail-oriented and display a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as closely with a team, communicating frequently and handling multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
    • Keeps work area organized and orderly. Ensures compliance with safety regulations.
    • Works out of the Colorado Springs office with travel to customer locations in Colorado Springs, Denver, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ten (10) years experience in business sales and customer service, with a proven sales track record.
  • Three (3) years experience in the construction/building/manufacturing industry with an ability to read and interpret high-level architectural plans, strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in lead sales planning position and/or closing business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Previous experience using CRM systems in sales roles, making detailed and consistent entries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong level of service provided to internal and external customers.
  • Embodies a commitment to innovation, excellence, and teamwork.
