Job Description

A week in the life of aSenior Windows Administrator:

  • Develop, gather, and leverage metrics to manage the server fleet and complex computing systems to drive automation, improvement, and performance.
  • Perform system performance monitoring and tuning; participate in capacity planning and systems configuration.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot the local and wide area network applications includingsoftware development tools and operating system.s
  • Provide scripting for specific customer application requirements usingAutoITand fixes & emergency scripts to resolve viruses across domain.
  • Maintain and patch updates through IBM Big Fi.x
  • Diagnose internet-related problems/firewall issues, third-party software and solutions.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshot associated local and network applications including software-development tools.
  • Provide SCCM deployment of specific software applications such as Adobe CS5 suit and MS Office.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, SW updates, GPO management.
  • Support end-users in HW and SW, computer applications, LAN components and peripherals.
  • Analyze and diagnosed OS-related problems for desktop and server.

If this position is performed from Colorado, pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is$76,800-$128,300. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Pursuant to Colorado law, the actual compensation paid for this position may be outside of this range. Job Requirements
  • Required: a minimum of10 yearsof recent and relevantexperience.
  • Required certification: MCSE
  • Preferred education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information technology management or a related field.
  • Domain expertise: Operating System, Domain Management, Security.
  • Technical skills: Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2 & 2012,2016 UNIX and Solaris based OS, Windows 7,8, and 10, AD DS, DHCP, DNS, WDS, MTD, SCCM, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Kaspersky Endpoint Security, ESET, McAfee and BitLocker, IBM Big Fix.
  • Otherpreferred certifications:Microsoft MCSA,ITIL Foundation,Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),AWS.
  • Previous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel clearance preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of TSA's mission priorities, systems, and applications preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to coordinate across large groups of people at multiple levels
