Job Description

Wanted: An experiencedPaaS Leadwith demonstratedexperience with planning, directing,andcoordinatingactivities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming;expertise in building and supporting a modern Platform as a Service environment, incorporating the full DevSecOpstechnologies on multiple OS platforms.

A week in the life of aPaaS Lead:

  • Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration in a scientific, operational environment.
  • Deploy and manage machines with VMware vCenter,Containerized (IaC) applications and services,Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT.
  • Manage and configure host-based security, user accounts, TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS, syslog, NTP, SSH, FTP, filesystems, NFS, automount, NAS/NetApp storage, Subversion,NoMachine, Mailman list server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Patch and manage systems using Red Hat Satellite Server, yum, and rpm.
  • Troubleshot and resolve service interruptions including on-call support.
  • Manage IBM HW AIX P7 team.
  • Container PaaS
  • Analyze systems for logic and efficiency.
  • Manage system backups using Tivoli Storage Manager.
  • Deploy the LDAP server.
  • Providehardware support for Dell and HP, servers/workstations.

If this position is performed from Colorado, pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is$96,300-$160,800. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Pursuant to Colorado law, the actual compensation paid for this position may be outside of this range. Job Requirements
  • Required: a minimumof10 yearsofrecent and relevantexperience.
  • Required certification:Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration ORRed Hat CertifiedEngineer (RHCE) OR Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
  • Preferred education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information technology management or a related field.
  • Domain expertise:Infrastructure/ Platform tools,NetworkMonitoring.
  • Technical skills:Container PaaS,Bash, Perl scripting, regular expressions,RHEL 5, RHEL 6, SSH, FTP, FTPS,Dell, Linux, Windows, HP,TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS, syslog, NTP, SSH, FTP, filesystems, NFS, automount, NAS/NetApp storage, Subversion,NoMachine, Mailman list server, MySQL, PostgreSQL,Big Brother and MRTG.
  • Previous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel clearance preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of TSA's mission priorities, systems, and applications preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to coordinate across large groups of people at multiple levels.
