Responsibilities

Our team specializes in crafting Digital Engineering analytical pipelines with a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) data model front end. These pipelines employ a micro-services-based architecture on a cloud-deployed system (AWS Govcloud) to maximize nation-wide system availability, scalability, data integrity, and security. They support organizations with highly-responsive cutting-edge analytical insights which are helping change how the space domain supports the joint war fight.

Our operations analysts specialize in employing MBSE data models to represent war fighting information in all domains and at all levels (subsystems, platforms, capabilities, and missions). A new addition to our analysis repertoire is the Operations/Campaign Level which represents theater-wide Major Combat Operations (MCO). We're looking for a skilled Operations Analyst with deep Operations/Campaign-level analysis experience who can provide strategic MBSE architecture/design insights for the effective MCO representation in our MBSE data model and related Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) capabilities and components.

In this role you will:

Engage with space-related customers to understand their space-related analysis needs and translate them strategically into work products.
  • Understand, manage, and translate current and Future Operational Concepts (FOCs) and Operations/Campaign scenarios (e.g. JFOS-Joint Force Operational Scenarios) into scalable MBSE data models which interact with and augment the existing subsystems, platforms, capabilities, and mission models.
  • Define MBSE architecture/design best practices for Operations/Campaign representation.
  • Collaborate with our software architect, senior developers, operations analysts, data scientists, and other leadership to help architect/design interaction of the MBSE data models w/ other critical software capabilities and components.
  • Collaborate within and across Government-Contractor-FFRDC and UARC (Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, University Affiliated Research Centers) teams and their respective Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine MBSE data.
  • Dive into research on technical development aspects to ensure Operations/Campaign models are accurate.
  • Demonstrate your analytical products to customers.
  • Actively participate in Agile analytical sprint processes and ceremonies.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 10+ years of professional experience or master's degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of professional experience. May substitute educational degree for experience.
  • Deep expertise in operations/campaign-level representation and assessment of the joint multi-domain war fight.
  • Space domain experience and understanding in multiple areas of: astrodynamics; orbital mechanics; rendezvous and proximity operations; satellite communications; missile warning/missile defense; space-based positioning, navigation and timing; remote sensing; environmental monitoring; command and control; battle management; and space domain awareness.
  • Relevant joint space warfighting experience in an operational, science and technology, or operational test organization.
  • Exposure to modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.
  • Proven track record of engaging with customers, product users, and coworkers to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Possess a natural curiosity and desire to challenge yourself and those around you.
  • Possess and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph U.S. Government security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Nice to have:

  • Cameo Systems Modeler (or similar) MBSE authoring software and SysML (Systems Modeling Language) experience.
  • Experience using both Scrum and Kanban.

Target salary range: $102,000 - $180,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
