Job Description:

The Secure Computing Group (SCG) of Microchip Technology is looking for a Technical Support Engineer that can provide guidance to customers in resolving implementation issues with a job emphasis on creating and enhancing SCG's technical documentation. The technical support engineer should be able to work independently to learn about SCG products and features and collaborate with an engineering team to develop various documents such as User guides, Datasheets, Application notes etc.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge/experience in I2C, SPI or other networking & real-time content streaming protocols
  • Familiarity with cross-platform development, debugging tools and command line build tools
  • Good knowledge in both software and hardware electronic concepts
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative working environment and be highly proactive.
  • Strong teamwork, organization and problem-solving skills. Active listening skills.
  • Technical editing experience with writing and analytical skills in the technical environment.
  • Excellent written, proof reading and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good understanding of embedded-C and Python
  • Knowledge and Skills related to Applied Cryptography
  • Seasoned using embedded debugging tools such as Oscilloscope, debuggers and protocol analyzers

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in Colorado, is $75,000 - $85,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
