TMC, a LinQuest company, is seeking an Associate SATCOM Sustainment Specialist I (Part Time College) to join our team onsite in Colorado Springs. The ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance is required

Description:

The Associate SATCOM Sustainment Specialist I (Part Time College) assists the SATCOM technical teams with the analysis and integration of system hardware/software upgrades, technical refreshes, and engineered solutions. Executes assigned tasks in a timely manner with appropriate oversight. Assists with purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with engineering and maintenance personnel to resolve system issues.
  • Assist with purchasing duties to include initiating necessary purchasing documents, vendor contact, obtaining quotes and completing orders based on price, delivery, quality, and service
  • Assist trouble shooting of both test and operational issues; assist with documentation of test results and preparation test status documentation.
  • Assist with supplier changes in specifications, change orders, quantities, and adjustments.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Requires 1 semester of completed college course work in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Must have knowledge of and can fully utilize Purchasing procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must have knowledge in procurement, supply chain, and material management processes.
  • Familiarity with technical writing
  • Experienced in MS Office
  • Must possess an active driver's license
  • Must be enrolled in school pursuing an education that is in-line with the company's structure
  • Must bavailable to dedicate 20hrs/week minimum to the contract
  • Must be familiar with SATCOM equipment and components
  • Must be familiar S with a wide array of test equipment, such as network analyzers, signal analyzers and signal generators
  • Must be familiar with procurement, supply chain, and material management processes.
  • Willingness to learn

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $16.50 - $18.56 per hour depending on relevant experience and qualifications
