DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be located on the project site in Estes Park, Colorado. The salary for this position is $20-$25/ hr based on interview and experience. The Construction Intern will assist the Project Manager, Project Engineer and Site Managers with daily activities including:

  • Assist with taking Meeting Minutes and developing minutes for distribution
  • Tracking of submittals/submittal log entries
  • As the Specialist develops, they could begin reviewing submittals
  • Tracking RFI's/RFI log entries
  • Assist in creating RFI's
  • Filing Daily Production, QC and Safety Reports
  • Checking hours on production reports for consistency
  • Keeping project books updated
  • Printing and distributing Modifications to the Dawson Team
  • Assist with keeping As-Built drawings up to date with direction of the QCM
  • Assist with Project Close-out documentation
  • Gathering Warranties/O&M/Subcontractor Red line drawings for O&M books
  • Participate in Red Zone/Closeout meetings
  • Field activities to assist the Superintendent and Quality Control Manager
  • Help prepare Preparatory and Initial Meeting documents
  • Assist with Prep & Initial meeting minutes
  • Assist with 4-Week Look Ahead Schedules
  • Help track subcontractor production on site
  • Assist QC with review of materials as they are received
  • Photo documentation of the site activities
  • Keep a logbook of the day-to-day activities
  • Monitor material deliveries, check for compliance with the submittals
  • Report to the QC and Superintendent on a daily basis
  • Occasionally help with storm water BMP and Tree protection maintenance
  • Assist with Traffic control and vehicle inspections

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate is pursuing or desires to pursue a career in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or similar construction related field.
