The qualified applicant will be part of our Production Team to support the manufacturing & test process of signal processing hardware used in centers around the world to communicate with satellites, spacecraft, missiles, and airborne platforms. The ideal candidate has completed a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering degree with a desire for hands-on electronics hardware testing. Primary responsibilities include performing RF test development, production floor support, and technical leadership to the team at the Kratos production facilities and at strategic Contract Manufacturing partner facilities. This includes:

  • Hands-on experience using commercial test equipment (i.e., vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators).
  • Collaborating with design and test engineering teams to develop test requirements, mapping requirements to reusable test architectures and procedures, implementing test plans and procedures, and logging and presenting results to key stakeholders.
  • Architect RF test systems, to draw insightful conclusions from test results, and to participate in idesign for test planning and review from the early stages of RF product development.
  • Additional responsibilities include lab and equipment management and guiding key equipment purchase decisions.

Required Experience:
  • Bacheloris degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent STEM field, 10+ Years related experience.
  • Understanding of RF test fundamentals and performing measurements using test equipment (i.e., vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators).
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) experience developing software to drive automated test equipment (ATE) in one or more programming languages (Python preferred) for RF & electronic products.
  • Experience in reviewing test procedures for clarity, correctness and readability and performing updates and dry runs to develop a repeatable test procedure product.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Masteris degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent STEM field.
  • Advanced understanding of RF performance metrics, such as noise figure, spurious free dynamic range, image rejection, etc.
  • Experience testing and characterizing products that utilize advanced waveforms such as 5G/OFDM.
  • Experience with LabVIEW/TestStand.
  • Able to read and interpret schematics, PCB layout, and assembly documents for electronic printed circuit boards.
  • Experience with temperature, shock, burn-in and environmental testing (including MIL-STD 810G).
  • Experience using Linux and developing software applications that run on Linux-based computer systems.
  • Comfortable with using Git version control software and Atlassian tools such as BitBucket and Jira.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $110,000-$150,000
