The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate in a cross-functional team environment within Entegris's global Advanced Materials Handling (AMH) Division. In this role, you will help create a competitive advantage for the business through creative problem-solving, innovative research and design, and dedicated teamwork. This role entails a mixture of product development and project engineering abilities.


Our team focuses on developing wafer transport and processing products used by integrated device makers (IDMs), original equipment makers (OEMs), and wafer growers in the semiconductor industry. Our customers require high-quality, consistent, reliable, and clean products to produce high-tech devices.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Passion for making great products and solving complex technical problems

  • Desire to work independently and cooperatively in a multi-cultural environment

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, supervise, and review team members work

  • Self-motivated to work with stakeholders to gather the requirements and scope of projects

  • Ability to communicate product ideas and be open to feedback from internal and external teams

  • Ability to communicate status updates to senior management within the context of a structured phase-gate process

  • Experience using calculations and statistical methods for developing, modeling, and validating design ideas

  • Experience creating and reviewing technical documentation, such as drawings, work instructions, and BOMs

  • Desire to develop new and improve existing test and product development methods

  • Experience in transferring R&D research findings to productization teams

  • Skilled at designing and fabricating prototypes for product validation and proof of principle testing

  • Ability to travel internationally (10%+) and to attend some evening or morning conference calls with Asia or Europe (once or twice a week)

  • Willingness to leverage the team's strengths through the sharing of knowledge and support

  • Desire to design plastic injection molded based products

  • Ability to balance and complete several projects concurrently

  • Strong desire to manage projects from start to finish

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design and Development

  • 10+ years in a product design/development or R&D environment

What We Seek:

  • Mechanical design and development of equipment/systems/devices

  • Expertise in plastic injection molding design, mold tool construction, and the molding process

  • Development and execution of product testing plans and statistical validation of performance

  • 3D CAD design in SolidWorks and/or Creo

  • Use of analytical methods such as FEA, CFD, tolerance analysis, and statistics

  • "Hands on" mechanical aptitude, model-making, and problem-solving ability

This role will pay $120K - $130K
