Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) is thrilled once again to host its Summer Internship Program for clinical and non-clinical departments this year! The Internship Program is open to undergraduate and graduate students from across the country. The Intern supports the Director of Market Strategy and Planning by undertaking a variety of tasks as well as overseeing new Medicare/Medicaid initiative related implementations and managing performance reporting for the Rhode Island team. You will help in planning and organizing program initiatives and carrying out daily operational duties.



What You'll Be Doing:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work across internal and external stakeholders to coordinate large scale implementations and daily troubleshooting of operational concerns.

  • Supports the Director of Market Strategy & Planning in establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into actionable and quantitative plans
  • Basic writing, editing, analysis, report creation and image editing in support of major online initiatives
  • Support quantitative investment research projects * Database design and development, programming * Data reconciliation across platforms * Analyzing workflows to identify and implement process improvements * Project management of multiple continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for supportive analytics and materials, including pulling research, drafting presentations, creating charts and graphs from financial and market data
  • Identify and prioritize strategic questions to answer through market research and external data analysis (e.g., wallboard market forecasting, emerging market trends)
  • Work in collaboration with employees from various departments
  • Support development of go-to-market strategies
  • Perform in-depth competitive, industry, and market research and analysis
  • Assist with presentations for management and development support of strategic and ad hoc projects
  • Interface with multiple groups throughout the organization
  • Providing project management support for key strategic initiatives
  • Developing and distributing weekly/quarterly/annual performance reports for the business's leaders facilitating cross-functional reviews for leadership
  • Analyze information and formulate an opinion and recommendation
  • Present recommendations to managers and directors
  • Apply innovation, ideation principles and tools to create ideas for new products and/or benefit designs

Additional Information

  • This is an onsite internship - Providence RI
  • All internships will be paid standard and competitive rates for undergraduate and graduate levels ($23 and $25 per hour respectively). Internships are expected to be full-time through the duration of the program.


What We're Looking For:

  • Sophomores or Juniors currently pursuing a Bachelor's or 1st year Masters/MBA Students or has at least one more semester remaining to graduate
  • Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations or related analytic field
  • Experience with project management processes and project-tracking software such as MS Projects, JIRA, or equivalent preferred
  • Strong economics/financial acumen and/or operations principles
  • Keen interest in business
  • Proven experience in program coordination and project management
  • Strong organizing skills, and analytic capabilities
  • Working knowledge of project/program management practices
  • Ability to deal with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizing skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and comfort presenting to large audiences
  • Ability to create and use project management materials, such as project plan, timelines, etc. and work across stakeholders to drive towards a given deadline
  • Skilled with data analytics and comfort with common analytics tools such as excel
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
