Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) supporting the US Space Force mission to defend National Security Interests in Space as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Radar Systems Engineer supporting the Ground Based Radars Branch of the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Acquisition Delta (USSF SSC/SZGGD).

The Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Acquisition Delta (USSF SSC/SZG) executes system acquisition, modernization, and sustainment for ground- and space-based SDA sensors and command and control (C2) systems. Activities include acquisition program management, system, and subsystem engineering, maintenance and supply support, and fielding.
Odyssey Systems provides support to the Government in five areas: Product Support, Sustainment Engineering & Sustainment Management, Technical Order Management, Technical User Interface, and System Design, Engineering, and Integration. These tasks are executed laterally with USSF SSC/SZG depot and development contractors and with SDA stakeholders.
This is a full-time position at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road and Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO with an opportunity to telework up to 2 days per week at the discretion of the Government after an initial 30-45 days on site
As an SDA Radar Systems Engineer, you will perform a wide range of engineering tasks, research, studies, and analysis that provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering disciplines. These tasks are required to meet technical requirements in support of associated large-scale mission-critical projects. Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques. As an SDA Radar Systems Engineer, you will provide A&AS support for the engineering and testing of Advanced and Legacy SDA radar systems.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must hold an active Secret clearance, and be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Electrical Engineering (RF), or a related discipline
Years of Experience: 4 or more years of relevant experience with 2 years in a Systems Engineering or Test Engineering role supporting similar Department of Defense or Intelligence Community Space Surveillance systems OR,
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Preferred active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
Certifications: Defense Acquisition University (DAU), Department of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) or equivalent certification in Test and Evaluation, Engineering, or Program Management
Additional Information:
Location: Work is performed at 2424 Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO with work and meetings intermittently performed at Peterson Space Force Base and Prime Contractor locations
Hybrid: Opportunity to telework up to 2 days per week at the discretion of the Government after an initial 30-45 days on site
Travel: Up to 10% to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon Government direction
