This position is in a fast-paced, mission focused environment, where engineering teams, operations teams, and government personnel collaborate on a daily basis

In this role you will work on the following:

Requirements analysis & decomposition, external interface definition, software/hardware/network architecture
• Design updates and new functionality for operational satellite ground systems, spanning software, hardware, networking, IT, and cybersecurity elements
• Lead integrated product teams for the implementation and verification of these updates
• Identify and implement achievable systems engineering process improvements and templates for output work products, including requirements, ICDs, RTVMs, use cases, and design review materials

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or STEM field
• Experience: 7-10 years relevant experience
• Clearance: TS/SCI with CI polygraph
• US Citizenship required

Desired Qualifications

• Possess knowledge of what a typical set of design artifacts is, and experience to judge what incremental steps towards that goal are achievable
• Be prepared to own each project on which they perform the systems engineering
• Act as cross functional team lead for the design and implementation of projects
• Agile scrum execution
• MBSE knowledge
• Experience leading small cross-functional teams
• Experience with satellite ground systems
• Experience with large systems integration

Location: Schriever Space Force Base; no remote work

The typical pay range for this position is USD $150,000-$190,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).
